2a Ness Walk
Inverness is enjoying something of a renaissance as the modern capital city of the Scottish Highlands. The vibrant social scene, culture and sights offer plenty to do for visitors and the Castle View Guest House is ideally located right in the heart of the city, close to all the major attractions. As the name suggests, one of the most significant local attractions is Inverness Castle which sits across the River Ness, offering wonderful views for guests.
Within easy reach is Inverness High Street with a range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, the guest house is also convenient to a number of great restaurants, two of which are directly below. The 19th century guest house retains all the charm of its period features such as the high ceilings and combines an elegant aged appeal with clean, modern amenities.
Guest rooms are spacious and benefit from central heating, with some, such as the family room, additionally having an en suite shower. Remote control colour televisions with DVD and comprehensive film library feature in every room as does tea and coffee making facilities.
Free daily newspapers can also be provided and ironing facilities, hairdryers, a drying room and trouser pressing service are all available on request. All guest rooms are upstairs and so are not suitable for disabled persons.
The guest house has a dining room with large windows overlooking the castle, presenting a wonderful environment in which to enjoy breakfast. Traditional full Scottish breakfasts are served and made from the freshest local ingredients purchased daily.
Continental style breakfasts and vegetarian options are available too. Breakfast is served in the dining room each morning between 8.30am and 9.30am (earlier continental breakfast or packed lunch can also be arranged) and represents the best way to start each day in Inverness.
